At least, that's what I tell myself. In truth, I like taking photos, and that includes, on occasion, some of the dishes I cook. And I like blogging (my main blog is here). My main blog is mostly text with few pictures, and this blog is mostly pictures with little text. But still, this blog might be useful to some people, and it helps keep me off the streets and out of trouble. :-)

Beef with Scallions

The name says it all. You can add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to spice it up. I hear you asking, “Are scallions and green (or spring) onions the same thing?” Well, yes and no. They’re the same plant but usually different varietals. And green onions are picked when they are more mature. Green onions have a stronger flavor than scallions. If you want to make a tossed salad to be eaten raw, use scallions. If you’re going to cook the onions, the you can use either scallions or green onions, as cooking them tones down the flavor.

Beef With Broccoli

Sauté broccoli and zucchini with oil. I like peanut oil but it’s your choice. Add cooked beef strips and let the beef heat. Cooked beef and chicken strips are available at your grocery store.

Cabbage Soup

There are many cabbage soup recipes. The recipe I used is here.
