At least, that's what I tell myself. In truth, I like taking photos, and that includes, on occasion, some of the dishes I cook. And I like blogging (my main blog is here). My main blog is mostly text with few pictures, and this blog is mostly pictures with little text. But still, this blog might be useful to some people, and it helps keep me off the streets and out of trouble. :-)

Red Beans and Rice with Chicken

Chicken with Asparagus

Here’s what it looks like when you’re preparing to cook it. The wok is heating up, you’ve got a little oil in it. I think the ingredients are chicken, asparagus, coarsely chopped pistachio nuts, chopped scallions, garlic, and fresh ginger. You’ll have to fix this dish to see what it looks like. I added pollo seasoning and red pepper flakes.

Alice’s Mexican Rice

One of my favorite dishes and easy to prepare — easy being a relative term. In this case, it means if you can cook rice and fry bacon, you should be able to prepare this dish. My recipe is here. (Alice was my mother and this is her recipe — hence, “Alice’s Mexican Rice.”
